@phisigmapi Don't just do the job assigned and leave at the end of the day. Offer to help everyone and anyone you can. This allows you to network, learn a variety of skills, and get experience doing many different things. #pspleadership
@phisigmapi 1) Get info on the company and the job/internship you're applying for. 2) Talk with campus career services as they often can give you pointers and even conduct mock interviews for practice. 3) Talk with anyone you know in the same career field for advice. #pspleadership
@_meaghann_ @phisigmapi You can share the fact that you belong to a Fraternity built upon scholarship, leadership, and fellowship. Let them know any skills you've developed that are applicable to the job (working in groups, giving back to community, developing/planning events, etc). #pspleadership
@_meaghann_ @phisigmapi If you're in a leadership position, share that. It demonstrates your ability to be a leader, manage a group of individuals, and be a role model for those following you. #pspleadership
@phisigmapi @jillydefrank The support staff of these offices are invaluable. Treat them with respect and become friends. They may be able to provide you job/internship prospects before the officer officially publicizes them. #pspleadership
@phisigmapi @jillydefrank Contact Career Services or the administrators of your particular major/school. They often have good contacts in the specific field or know of job opportunities. #pspleadership
@phisigmapi Delete posts and photos that may have been “fun” while in school, but don’t reflect well on your professional qualities that an employer would want to see. #pspleadership
Turn off your phone for a few hours so you don't get work emails (or don't put work accounts on your phone if that's feasible for your job) #pspleadership
#pspleadership Q1: a good calendar so you don't forget anything & making sure you also add time to decompress to your schedule (whether that's meditation, napping, reading, etc...whatever you do to relax)
