A good day in Sacramento! Eight of my #caleg bills made it through the CA Senate Appropriations Committee:
✅#SB899 Improving Effectiveness of CA’s Gun Violence Prevention Laws
✅#SB906 Helping Achieve Equity in College Sports NIL
✅#SB941 Industrial Decarbonization
Two years ago today, we launched our campaign to bring CHANGE to L.A.
Two years later, we’re bringing unhoused Angelenos inside with urgency and we’re making our city safer and more livable for ALL.
We’re keeping our promise — our movement continues.
WE. WON’T. STOP.
I’m a huge fan of the most recent portrait at the State Department - and yes, I am unapologetically biased! Congratulations, Mom, we are so proud of you!
Join us for a toast to congratulate Isaac Bryan on becoming the California Assembly Leader on Sunday, Oct. 8 at the Wende Museum. (This is not a city-sponsored event.)

The choice we face as a nation is between the mainstream and the extreme, between allowing politicians to enter the most personal parts of our lives and protecting the right to privacy embedded in our Constitution.
It's time for Congress to act.
Long before I came to Congress, I ran a mental health clinic in the East Bay—a time in my life that deeply influenced my policy positions.
During #SuicidePreventionAwareness Month, I will keep fighting until high-quality, affordable mental health care is accessible to all.
It's time to require universal background checks, establish a national red flag law, require safe storage of firearms, and end immunity from liability for gun manufacturers.
Congress, it's time to stand up to the gun lobby.
NEW: County Supervisors @_HollyJMitchell and @LindseyPHorvath sent Culver City Council a public letter of support for Move Culver City saying “adding car lanes back to the project would severely hamper its efficacy and usability while worsening congestion”
Move Culver City has been a transformative project for street safety in LA county. Across the border in CD5, we’re working hard to bring similar safety interventions to Venice Blvd. I hope we can work with Culver City to create a truly connected network between our cities.
The importance of a school district & City partnership is to make sure we’re building a future our kids can live into.
No matter if you 🚗, 🚍, 🚲, 🛴, or 🚶🏽♀️- you are able to move safely in Culver City. We can’t go back.

To tackle the issues of ageism, racism, and being a “first” - I sat down w/ @latimes to talk about how we can grow up, step-up, & build a future we can live into.
“To me this speaks to power, who has it, and who isn’t willing to give it up,”
