@campbellclaret@PennyMordaunt@AngelaRayner Penny is an attractive woman but looked and sounded like a fembot tonight. Angela is also attractive but needs to ditch the frou frou dresses and go for a shorter fringe bob.
Content wise ….
This is an excellent bit of comms by Labour. Jon Richardson, in a bath with a beer, telling you how Sunak made his millions from the downfall of our economy.
Really important message, brilliantly delivered.
@TomSwarbrick1 15 yo white girls in Rochdale are victims of grooming and rape but 15 yo Muslim girl is author of her own fate and national security risk. Feels like straight racism to me
@why_thepodcast music played behind your excellent and fascinating neuroscientist on the latest episode made it very difficult to concentrate on what he was saying. I like the music but please don’t play it over a guest!!
Ben Kentish explains that paying Junior Doctors would cost £2 billion a year
Ben Kentish also refers to an article in The Telegraph which shows inheritance tax cuts proposed by Rishi Sunak and the Conservative party would cost us £8 billion a year
How about we keep inheritance tax and pay doctors and nurses properly? #DoctorsStrike
And maybe spend the other £6 billion a year fixing NHS and school infrastructure?
Every time I or my family need the NHS it comes up trumps. It’s not just the professionalism. It’s the carefulness and gentleness even when staff are under phenomenal pressure. Nobody will RT this because social media only validates click bait negativity. But thank you NHS. Xxx
@mrjamesob as a man I heard correct himself from ‘less’ to ‘fewer’ the other day, can I beg you to rage against the every increasing use of ‘gifting’? The verb is GIVE. Come on James, please save Christmas!!
@LBC what no one is talking about is what will be the political and economic mechanisms for the future of millions of people becoming redundant? No govt seems willing to tax the huge sums that tech winners’ are accumulating, so who will support the newly unemployed classes?
@lbc the Prime Minister seeks to be borrowing the Trumpian tactic of calling out his opponent for exactly what he is doing. And blatantly saying he’s doing one thing while doing exactly the opposite…
@therestismoney@Peston@StephLunch ..continuing previous reply… roads, etc etc. Why does it seem to be the case that previous governments could deliver reasonable levels of public service at lower overall tax rates? And meanwhile the richest are richer than ever..
@therestismoney@Peston@StephLunch I’ve enjoyed your first two episodes. Could you please answer the question: where has/does all our money go? Taxes are at the highest ever yet everywhere one looks public services are underfunded. Investment in schools (RAAC being the obvious case), social care, police, nhs,
@maitlis@maitlis love to hear your opinion on @BBCNewsnight fronting two Murdoch journalists tonight alongside Alan Yentob from/for the @bbc who isn’t even a news journalist. Learnt nothing from your mctaggart @EdinburghTVFest lecture! Where were you/@markdamazer /richard Sambrook?
@JohnJCrace Unbelievable BBC ‘balance’ having TWO Murdoch journalists, one Hacked off rep and the BBC represented by Alan Yentob who isn’t even a news journalist. Come on BBC give yourselves a fighting chance!
