@JamesNMK Yeah, exactly. Reactions are a smaller piece but an important one. They shape what a builder actually hears back.
Petio looks good btw. How's discovery been going for it?
Building Spotlitely.
/new and /show like HN. A feed you can actually browse like Reddit. Reactions that say useful, interesting or loved, not just an upvote.
Which of those would make you post?
#buildinpublic#indiehackers
@mindinpanic I would say skipping the first comment. But that rarely happens. What happens is people dont prepare the draft until the end and write it in a rush. That version often doesnt land.
I once tried going without a first comment on HN, just to see. And got buried in 2 hours :')
5 ways founders waste a launch:
1. Submitting everywhere the same day
2. Reusing PH copy on HN
3. Launching whenever, not when it's rewarded
4. Skipping the maker's first comment
5. Treating day one as the finish line

Product Hunt's link is nofollow. So is Hacker News. So is Reddit.
If part of why you're launching is SEO, that's worth knowing before you spend a day on it.
I checked 20 launch platforms. Real cost, real backlink type for each: https://t.co/i0QwpUtecx

`claude --resume` is something I use constantly. Would love a `claude --incognito` for terminal sessions too. Start a session that doesn't get saved to disk. @claudeai
Spotlitely's Show section is where indie devs launch what they built. Inspired by Show HN.
Post your project, own the page. Not a submission lost in the feed.

Google doesn't rank content anymore. It eats it. AI Overviews swallow the answer before anyone clicks. Here's what still survives 👇

Most launch platforms make you wait in a queue or pay before your product gets seen. Spotlitely does it differently. Paste a link and you're live instantly, no approval needed. And it's free.
#buildinpublic#AITools#SaaS#Spotlitely
Spotlitely tags every single post as "Made by" or "Shared by". No guessing who built it and who's sharing something useful. Makers get credit for making. Curators get credit for curating. Clean, simple, accurate.

Product Hunt gives you one 24h window, then you wait 6 months to relaunch. On Spotlitely, you can repost your link every 15 days. Past reactions and badges are kept, while every repost builds your changelog.

Every launch platform gives you 24 hours, then buries you. Spotlitely offers permanent visibility, compounding backlinks, AI-search citations, and earned reputation for founders who don't have an audience yet.

No vanishing after day one. Reactions are signals, permanent pages give lasting visibility, and reposts resurface links. Standout ones earn a dofollow backlink and a weekly editorial feature.

Bug report: New business account (@spotlitely) is stuck in a suspension loop. System flagged my IP as 'inauthentic' because I refreshed my own analytics multiple times. I have ID verification ready. Web forms auto-reject in <1 min. Please escalate to a human.
The automated flag happened because I was manually refreshing my own analytics page to check a pinned post. This spiked the view metrics from my own IP and tripped the anti-spam bot.
