England are probably top three or four in the world, so Tuchel has not catastrophically under performed (ask Nagelsman).
However it was the manner of the defeat. He was bought in to get the big tournament decisions right, how he set his team for the last 30 minutes shows that he failed in that primary task.
Leads surrendered in last WC Semi, last two Euro finals was why Southgate left, there was one last oppertunity to get it right with this squad and Tuchel blew it.
In life blowing your last chance always hurts more than blowing your first chance. Thats the source of the anger with Tuchel. Its the manner of the defeat, the timing of the defeat and what was expected.

The English footballers by enlarge spend their formative years in world class facilities relative to Croatia, Argentina and even many clubs in Spain etc. They have agents, money, every resource needed. When it comes to adversity, do or die situations they are always out fought. Thats why the Mexico result was so notable, it was the exception to that. What we saw last night was regression to the mean in terms of being out fought.
Tuchel played into that in trying to protect the goal rather than fight and boss possession.
On top of that Rice was off sorts, Kane was too deep with no legs to be a way out and give defenders any respite or retain the ball, that was Tuchels other mistake, too much loyalty in the moment.

It risks cognitive off loading where we lose core skills, we've seen this with Sat Nav and Spell Check.
Neuroscience tell us that what we encounter and get feedback on gets persisted, our current expertise is far more perishable than we think.

We then become consumers rather than innovators or creators.
In one way thats progress but that doesn't mean we should blindly go down that path.

We've seen that in food prep where a lot of people cant cook a healthy meal and counter that with meds, supplements etc.

Giving up on the magic should not be the default decision.

Every country gets bad decisions, come out on the wrong side of 50/50 calls from referees.
No other countrys politicians goes belly aching to FIFA.
Football is a game, win some, lose some, come back stronger and move on.

Models are based on simplification over perfection. The real world is too complex to simulate exactly. A model works by stripping away irrelevant details to highlight the most important variables. Its the old "The Map is not the Territory" idea or "all models are wrong some are useful"

Just when Americans could not be more unpopular they come up with crap like this. Remember when they floated the idea of replacing Iran with Italy? It was such a waste giving them the World Cup when they dont even know the rules. Teams often sub off a player on a booking or a player who is likely to get sent off to avoid future suspensions. Its a tactical part of the game and a coaching skill in team/player management. Its a rule thats part of the game, this has never been done in the modern game. By Cenks delinquent logic, no player would ever serve a suspension.

The software and hardware business model for consumers is renting compute. You will own no software, minimal hardware that streams a cloud service or renders services in a browser.
AI models be it open source or API subscriptions will be a means to sell you compute. LLMs, cloud services, AI services are value delivery mechanisms. Compute, data centres and energy are the only parts of the AI Stack that are commercially viable long term. OpenAI etc will become low margin retail shop fronts, still valuable but not the value centre of the AI Stack.
