Duolingo ran an email promotion recently where they offered people their long streaks back if they did a lesson. Got my 714 day streak back that I lost over a year ago, they must be desperate for money after firing a lot of their employees for AI.

I'll still never forgive Duolingo for removing the god damn community discussion forum for each question. If you didn't fully understand something you could go to a comment section where 9/10 times another person would explain it clearly, and you could actually learn! Unfortunately they've kinda sterilized the app, rip profile pictures, I won't be caught dead with one of their stupid ahh corposlop avatars. Unbelievably they don't even let you make one with a neutral expression, they just have 15 variations of smiling, makes me feel suicidal.

@Pandaforce26 @SkinnyTuna It's my anecdotal experience that it dulls my mind. I don't think it's far out to not want chemicals added to drinking water. There are more reasons not to drink tap water than fluoride, heavy metals, it's full of microplastics from people washing synthetic fabrics.

@takebackdixie Glad I moved to British Columbia where insurance isn't privatized. When I started driving at 21 my insurance was $500/month. For that same car $180/month in BC, recently I bought a '22 model 3, currently $315/month to insure it. Still $185 less than $500/month (zero accidents)

@retardmode this is why you write your seed down on a piece of paper, or at minimum keep it backed up in multiple locations. if the board isn't damaged the phone should work with a new display, otherwise you'll need to send it to a data recovery service.
