It is so important to treat women with respect and dignity. A grandmother carries the egg that will eventually become her granddaughter, so the love, respect, positivity, negativity as well as trauma are passed down three generations. Respect and love women, don't abuse them.
@Theholisticpsyc Had this conversation with someone the other day -Imagine when you desperately need to soothe and the internet is not available. Nightmare!!!
When abuse is over the person just heaves a sigh of relief, nothing else runs through their mind. And some people may say why didn't you ask for help. But the abused's brain was in overdrive and then relived when the abuse is over. Asking for help is a herculean task. #Abuse
Recovering from trauma is not a linear journey, so there are no milestones. You can only appreciate yourself to have stayed on this path to recovery, and celebrate when you react to traumatic situations in a different manner. That reaction is a testament of your recovery.

Perfectionism is exhausting. We believe that we have to be 100% right, which can be humanly impossible at times. As humans, we learn from our mistakes and perfectionism hinders this growth trajectory.

@nate_postlethwt Oh yes!
The only valid answer to this is : So?! Even I have done things for you, so should I accept your disrespect and mistreatment for it now.
But going to that stage takes so much working on yourself.
Eventually though, that courage and faith in yourself does come.
@narcissistfacts Narcissists feed on our 'good nature', the minute we shut that down, their behavior takes a u-turn.
Their abuse will never stop, till the time you don't become a mirror.
Either that or you just weed them out. No other option.
@RhiaCrewe If trauma makes us strong AUTOMATICALLY, what about pedophiles, rapists, kidnappers and serial killers who choose to pass on their suffering to someone else, instead of going inward.
Raging is easy, healing is difficult.
We CHOSE the high road - the right choice.
@Theholisticpsyc Getting rid of the constant 'I am sorry, I made a mistake, I am dumb, I don't know anything," etc. is a herculean task. As a human being, we all make mistakes, and to realize that everyone makes mistakes regularly is an eye opener.
@eebie4@karenmitchell__ You may become the villain in your family, but our mental peace is way more important than labels in such groups. Tough choice, but you will see the impact later.
@lovewins11011 Very innocent gaslighting -if such a thing exists. It just set a wrong precedent, that I don't notice when I am being manipulated. The person tried it once again much later, but thankfully I recognised the pattern.
