We had a bloke from Geelong plumbing Anne asked the Q
It would help if Tyler read my work before criticising it. Some of his points seem bordering on hysterical. I use the term 'disease'-targeting to refer to targeting the biological mechanisms that produce symptoms. No psychiatric drug has been shown to do this. Psychiatric drugs are psychoactive drugs in the sense of changing the normal state of our brain chemistry and activity. This is the sense in which they are similar to alcohol and other recreational drugs. A psychoactive drug doesn't have to have appealing effects that people crave. This is all explained in detail in many papers including this open access one: https://t.co/6sVwHJOD5a
This morning, a 65 year-old man woke up in the early hours and heard thieves in his garage.
He called the police. Unfortunately, the officer on the phone told him they don't have any police officers free at the moment.
The guy hung up and then called again in a moment and tells the officer:
* it's about these thieves in my garage.
Don't bother coming anymore i’ve shot them.
After literally 2 minutes, 4 police cars, Armed response, counter terrorists, ambulances turned up,..... Thieves were obviously caught.
Police officers had a chat with the gentleman
Officer says - " You said you shot them! "
Gentlemen - " And you said you don't have a free police car "

Psychiatry didn't just 'try' lobotomies, it believed in them.
It was later debunked. Whoopsie.
Then came the chemical imbalance fairy tale, shoved down throats as gospel with the smug "just like diabetes" lectures.
It was later debunked. Fancy that.
Now it's all "much more complex and nuanced" word salads like neuroinflammation, brain swelling.
The latest desperate twist to justify the same old pills.
Psychiatry's track record is abysmal. Hurling treatments at problems they don't understand, then crying "what other options?"
Always the patients left picking up the pieces.
Brilliant system, doc.
@LORWEN108 funny how the guy who wrote the self help, psychology book, im ok your ok, - was a psychiatrist,- doing, im ok - "your not" ok 👎..at the same time-
with his patients. ✌️🙂
@truth_tellerrr2@Cherylmm21@AliBeckZeck If its coercive and unwanted, its between the doctor and the enabler...the patient doesnt want anything to do with it.
@PickEmLegend@AliBeckZeck Logic isnt- 'psych-i-a-try'.
LOGIC- isnt 'the enemy', unless, they've sold out..to the- Ill-Logic- Logic -(tries to) -makes sense 😊- of things.. psychiatry makes MI, for people, and no sense, at all.👍😉
Psychiatrists love to say:
“We just have to find the right cocktail.”
“It’s trial and error.”
Here’s why that’s dangerous:
The “trial” is your brain.
The “error” is your life.
The error can be akathisia, suicidality, sexual dysfunction, metabolic syndrome, years of protracted withdrawal, disability and gaslighting from your prescribing physician that your symptoms are signs of your “mental illness” and not side effects of the drugs. The error can be losing years trying to recover from the treatment or even your own death.
Trial and error” is not informed consent.
Anders Sørensen, a Danish clinical psychologist and researcher known for his work on psychiatric drug withdrawal and hyperbolic tapering, spoke Monday at the MAHA Institute summit about psychiatric drug dependency and withdrawal.
Listen closely to what he says.
