When you spend $180,000 on a law degree, it’s assumed you’ll get a job, practice law with said job, and make a good salary—with which you can start paying back your loans.

Instead, it appears you went into law with the intention of pursuing a career in politics, and you did so immediately. While that’s your choice, so were the loans you signed for as an adult.

Why don’t you leave politics and work as a lawyer, repay your debts, then return when you have some real life experience, like your constituents do? Otherwise, you wouldn’t be asking them to pay your bills.
