Congratulations to our Indian Women’s Kabaddi Team for making the nation proud by winning the Kabaddi World Cup 2025! They have showcased outstanding grit, skills and dedication. Their victory will inspire countless youngsters to pursue Kabaddi, dream bigger and aim higher.
When 64 women drowned fetching water in 2022, IAS Tina Dabi knew something had to change. Her Catch the Rain initiative turned a desert district into a national model for water conservation.
87,000+ rainwater tanks, revived lakes and ponds, safe tanka designs, and hand-pumps. Today, villages in Barmer can store 3–4 months of drinkable water.
The innovation won the Pratham Jal Sanchay Jan Bhagidari Award from President Droupadi Murmu, along with a ₹2-crore prize for the district.
Imagine if every home in India stored rainwater; water crises could become a thing of the past.
Scroll down left to see how one idea changed an entire district.
