"other specified" = used when clinician wants to communicate specifically why the criteria do not fit
"unspecified disorder" = used when they do not wish, or are unable to, communicate specifics
I complimented a woman at the gym today because I genuinely thought she was in her late 20s. She laughed and told me sheโs 46.
I asked her what her secret was.
She said, โBe clear about what you deserve. Accept nothing less. And stop stressing over anything that doesnโt move your life forward.โ
The way that answer came right when I needed to hear it.
Not gonna lie; I used to look down on livestreaming as basically "Onlyfans lite". However during my time getting close and helping the Tibetans broadcast their dances, I came to a different realization...
Livestreaming (ๅฐ็บขไนฆ & ๆ้ณ๏ผessentially allows people who is otherwise unemployable in the general market (a lot of Tibetans did not finish high school, let alone uni) to be able to become genuine entrepreneurs WITHOUT sex work (this includes the not so smart folks from the countryside who can't progress beyond primary maths). They'd even lower the barrier of entry into business by allowing you to setup accounts and trade with just real name verification. To just simply moralize over this is not just wrong, but you will be willingly ignorant since you miss the finer details of what is actually happening.
My suggestion is to join one of these platforms and instead of the typical political shitflinging, get engaged to the people who are in the business. Get to know them and their struggles. It is a humbling experience.
Bridgit Mendlerโs story is wild.
Sheโs had four successful careers before turning 33.
Arc 1: Disney franchise player (2009-2014)
Lead role on Good Luck Charlie for four seasons. Recurring on Wizards of Waverly Place. Starred in Lemonade Mouth. She wasnโt a background player. She was running Disney Channel shows as a teenager.
Arc 2: Legitimate pop career (2012-2013)
โReady or Notโ went platinum in the US and Canada. Hit #7 in the UK, charted top 20 in five countries. Debut album on Hollywood Records. Headlining tour. Full label machinery behind her.
Arc 3: Elite academic credentials (2017-2024)
MIT Masterโs in media science. PhD candidacy at MIT Media Lab. JD from Harvard Law. Worked at the FCCโs satellite policy division. Co-founded the Harvard Space Law Society. Seven years of invisible grinding while everyone assumed sheโd disappeared.
Arc 4: Defense tech CEO (2023-present)
Co-founded Northwood Space with her husband (now CTO). Started by building antennas from Home Depot parts during COVID. Now solving satellite ground infrastructure, the actual bottleneck nobody talks about. Phased-array stations handling 8 simultaneous satellite links.
$6.3M seed from Founders Fund and Andreessen Horowitz. $30M Series A in 2025. $100M Series B last week plus a $49.8M Space Force contract to upgrade the network that controls GPS satellites.
Estimated valuation: $500-800M. Her stake potentially worth $50-120M.
Four arcs. Four times she rebuilt from zero instead of coasting. Most people canโt do that once.
youโre not a burned-out gifted kid, you're an adult terrified of mediocrity, procrastinating at every opportunity so failure can't prove that you're just average
