7; the family game by catherine steadman (4.5) ☁️ it took me a bit to get into it but then couldn’t put it down! such a unique concept & I’m a sucker for games with real-life consequences. quick read, fleshed out mc, & genuinely not knowing what’s to come = a great & fun read!

6; killers of a certain age by deanna raybourn (1.5) ☁️ started off strong but almost dnf’d it. no depth, nothing to emotionally invest in, don’t even know the side characters enough to care who the “bad guy” was or why anything was happening. super tough read, esp the 2nd half.
