G7 Summit Begins in France Today
The 52nd G7 Summit kicks off in Evian, France, with leaders set to discuss global security, economic challenges, technology, and ongoing geopolitical crises.
🇮🇳 India will participate as an invited "partner country" for the 13th time, with PM Narendra Modi joining the Outreach Sessions tomorrow.
External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar delivers a sharp response to European criticism of India's Russia policy:
"No European country has been attacked with Indian weapons. I wish I could say that for European weapons vis-à-vis India."
When pressed, he added:
"Europeans sell weapons which are used to attack India. We Indians have never done anything to endanger Europe."
A straightforward reminder that India's security concerns don't always align with Europe's geopolitical priorities.
