This scene has changed everyone's perspective about dragons.
Drogon finds his mother dead. He nudges her like "wake up." Like a dog that doesn't understand why his person won't move. That little whine he makes.
Then he looks at Jon. He KNOWS Jon killed her. You can see it in his eyes. He could burn Jon alive in a second.
But he doesn't. Because dragons are smarter than men. He knows it wasn't Jon. It was the Throne. That ugly chair that she wanted since she was a baby. The thing that drove her mad, that took everyone from her, that made her burn a city.
So he doesn't kill the man who killed his mother.
He burns the reason she died.
He melts the Iron Throne — 300 years of history, forged from a thousand swords, the thing every Targaryen bled for — into lava. Because as long as it existed, people would keep killing for it.
The last Targaryen Queen died for a chair. So her dragon made sure no one could ever sit on it again.
Best final scene of Drogon. Not a beast. A grieving son.
