“A racist person would never call you & your family beautiful”
“He sees this beautiful family of this mom & kid, he’s gonna call them beautiful & a gift from God & you trying to sit here and tell me that he hates black people”
@SahilBloom I got sober in 2018 & an emotional & spiritual transformation I had to go through to rid myself of the old way of thinking. I absolutely love the Five Types of Wealth. I have given copies or helped others connect to it. Will be doing a group reading w/ other couples this fall!
The reason most people never change is because they’re too attached to who they’ve always been. Change requires death: The death of old stories, old habits, old comforts, old beliefs. Reinvention starts with release.
Reminder: One day, your whole life will be summed up in a few sentences. Not the titles you held. Not the money you made. But how you showed up. How you treated people. What you gave when no one was watching. The way you loved. The way you served. What will your sentences say?
A major cheat code in life: Being a pleasure to deal with. Kind when others aren’t. Calm when things go sideways. Reliable under pressure. Intelligence alone is overrated. Be someone who lightens the load for folks around them. People value people who make their lives easier.
7 years today, one day at a time. I’m so grateful for what the people in AA, the steps and God has given me. This is the easier, softer way. #RecoveryPosse#soberaf#soberliving
@_BLShelton I follow the steps, the serenity prayer, meetings, meditation, workout, eat healthy, counseling, journaling, share with my partner, sponsor, sponsee, pray, gratitude lists. Do I do all those things, all the time & perfectly? Nope. Seek progress not perfection.
