I have an old man take on this, which is that while calling flopping in real time is hard, the league should just review all the tape the next morning and fine guys $50K/flop. Or teams if the CBA makes that hard.
This stuff hurts the product and nobody likes it. Tolerating it is a choice.
A group called "Rip City Forever," organized by Chris Dudley, Marshall Glickman, Erin Hubert, Joth Ricci & Ryan Buchanan, has been established to try to ensure that @trailblazers remain in Portland. More than 100 community leaders & ex-Blazers have written an open letter to mayor Keith Wilson and Gov. Tina Kotek and launched a website (https://t.co/HSZlYDxBIn), encouraging the public to add their names as well.

@johncanzanobft People aren’t mad he left but the way he left. For a place that did so much for him and supposedly meant so much to him. His “dream job”. He couldn’t take the time to acknowledge any of it on the way out the door.
@TheDigitalDam@GregSankey Yep. They can go do their thing. I’m sure people will love to watch their basketball and football invitationals. We can enjoy a football playoff and the ncaa tourney without them.
The Pac-12 Conference and Gonzaga University are proud to announce their partnership, as the Bulldogs will join the conference effective July 1, 2026.

Guess what? A small click of schools and their corporate paymasters at ESPN ain’t going to ruin college football for everyone else.
In Congress, I will look forward to helping lead the charge to ensure a sustainable future for college athletics that ensures that ALL schools have a fair chance at competing at the highest levels. We already have one NFL, we don’t need two.
@TheDigitalDam Also, IMO they should expand East adding the AAC schools. Not only for the value they bring now, but to have a league valuable enough that when ACC collapses remaining teams join the PAC vs backfilling ACC w/ those teams. Then the PAC would be at least the 4th best conference.
@TheDigitalDam Also, they aren’t done yet, so too early to conclude. The biggest judgment of their decisions will come when the value of their media rights deal is announced.
@DoctorSoFlo Absolutely. Any team not in the SEC and B1Gwould join them in a heartbeat but I’m not sure USF will want to go to the ACC when the invite comes and I believe it will. The other conferences will take the top teams & it may make more sense to bring remaining ACC teams to the PAC12.
@gocougs123 Or perhaps adding them all at once offers better terms. Not sure, but these negotiations are obviously really important right now and the PAC-12 needs to get the best outcome possible.
@gocougs123 I just hope they make the most shrewd decision. Part of me wonders, if we just add the required two at full shares whomever that may be. Then everyone left in the AAC is in a panic and we can grow further in a much better position to negotiate and therefore expand w/better terms.
