@professor_dave@DurhamChemistry Really enjoyed your seminar. Great to get the big picture after seeing snippets on this place. But, I might dream of drinking bubble tea and swallowing lots of AuNPs!
PhD position if you are interested in protein engineering and metals using a combination of computational and experimental approaches. Deadline is 20th Feb.

We are recruiting! Excited to get started on a new project funded by an @bbsrc Pioneer Award. If you are interested in live imaging, signalling dynamics and stem cells and looking for a postdoc position, join us @DurBiol: https://t.co/MnT6x838pf
I am recruiting! We're looking for two PhD students to join my new lab's research team at IBB Warsaw. Projects will involve biochemistry, structural biology, bioinformatics and biophysics, studying the superoxide dismutases.
A metals, proteins, and microbes PhD studentship available at Durham University (for UK students). Applications will be considered on a rolling basis so apply early.

New in #JBacteriology: Eight new bacterial selenoproteins include the methymercury formation proteins HgcA and HgcB in Clostridium difficile. Motifs suggest selenium roles in biochemistry of organometallics. @ASMicrobiology@JBacteriology https://t.co/Rny2ewZ9JB
@rosh_ba Mostly I just need to refresh C1 metabolism and then have a think. Happy also to give feedback on a draft, if that would be helpful. Or just chat via Zoom.
@rosh_ba Yes - be interesting to know if there is any proteomics/activity data in Zn-restriction to see what changes, i.e. preservation of metabolic activity and depletion of central dogma activity via loss of cofactor and/or cooy number.
