@Plinz Social media is akin to porn minus the orgasmic release. Very much like porn, we are attracted to a stimulus because of the feeling of power we have over a medium in which the stimulus is objectified. It's compulsive because of its failure to achieve a goal.
@Plinz In the West, it histori refers to the Enlightenment period, when the ability to objectify became an authority that seduced humankind into believing that magical thinking would soon suffer the fate of the dinosaurs and truth would rule, removing every evil, especially evil itself.
@Plinz It's normal to play any game within the dynamic of polarity. If the players can triangulate, they will understand the game from a transcendent position. From there a third view can birth something yet unseen; the truer nature of the player.
@Plinz True, but the only difference for humanity is the size of the group indoctrinated. As well, we might wonder if "closing" or regulating the internet will actually have the desired result without a thorough understanding of the desired result.
