THANK YOU to the 107+ people who sent individual, heartfelt emails/voicemails to the EBRPD Board of Directors in support of the Park District acquiring Point Molate
107 emails/voicemails were received before the first deadline, and more came in afterwards!
@SFBaySierraClub
My post for the Sierra Club on Point Molate. Richmond is rich in transit - BART, Amtrak, bus corridors, & ferry. It needs housing served by these modes, not a new suburb on shoreline parkland. @WhollyH2o@ptmolate@eastshorepark
@Waves_SF@deciblast In addition, the "70%" includes every single patch of "open space" including small lawn patches between homes and along sidewalks. It's what developers do...make it sound public orientated when the result is actually quite different. Not public or open or nature minded
Springtime from the shore of Pt Molate.
Keep it wild, keep it open, keep it public.

How can we prevent going through the 2020 experience all over again?
On June 22, we are sharing the breakthrough findings from our original research “The Critical Role of Greenbelts in Wildfire Resilience”. Hear about it first ➡️ https://t.co/LyQ6O6mL3z
We need your help!

We are joining this call to action because the science is clear: to tackle the worst climate change impacts we need to leverage nature-based solutions to keep our ecosystems and quality of life in balance. We can do more to protect our shoreline & wetlands!
@gbeltalliance Ditto! That is exactly our thoughts and purpose at Pt. Molate Alliance - saving Pt. Molate's rare ecosystem from a MEGA corporate SunCal development.
@GreatLakesPeck@SunflowerAction Looks like that dark maroon area is right where Pt. Molate is...and one of the reasons we do not want a major housing development. Fire hazard with one road in and out.
Don't forget about Pt. Molate!
During this time when Bay Area cases are down, vaccinations are up, & we are enjoying increased outings, our awareness environmental issues may go unnoticed. Much work still to do for our future.
It's always something else when Richmond graces the big newspapers, isn't it.
Interesting article about pressure on Chevron (and some of you may recognize this Richmond Chevron station)

A reminder that #plasticpollution is part & parcel of the fossil fuel industry: "ExxonMobil is the greatest single-use plastic waste polluter in the world, contributing 5.9m tonnes to the global waste mountain"

Photographer Jack Scheinman’s took this amazing shot of a Western Tanager at Pt. Molate today
Most of us don't take the time to truly observe birds closely - and they are so quick to take off! It's truly an impressive bird + photograph. A wonderful home they have at Pt. Molate
