@johniibo It survived much worse. But more importantly prime is a completely different series to the 2D metroid games even if they share a universe and timeline.
@SonicHacki Well technically it is that way to keep the price reasonable for the home market. Also, I believe the only “locked” thing is the language and you can just play games purchased in any region and connect controllers from any region.
@Ruleof2Review I have been a nintendo fan for years and have all consoles from the Wii onwards. But I chose the switch 2 partly because of the portability, since I travel to and from uni every week. And I do often play it on campus in between lectures.
@Ruleof2Review They are way beyond the border between exploratory and confusing…. Samus doesn’t feel nearly as good to control as in the 2D games, the stories are usually wierd and again don’t really make sense with the mainline story of the 2D pentalogy.
@Ruleof2Review Don’t know if this fits the narrative of your video, but I love the 2D Metroid games, have played them all and finished nearly all, the story is carried very nicely from one game to the next and Dread is my favourite game ever. But I truly find Prime games horrible to play
@MetroidFREAK21 A super metroid remake in the dread engine with improved visuals for the switch 2 would literally make me cry tears of joy….and knowing Sakamoto, there will surely be something new added just like in zero mission and samus returns
@MattP1Gallagher Was it better? Absolutely. Was it good? I wouldn’t say so, but I can see that some people actually enjoyed it. I still have mixed feelings about the new cars and feel like it’s a “one step forward, two steps back” kind of situation
