@NoTimesLeft Yes, that money could last only 2 weeks, for ex. if you hoped you would feel healthy enough to start working again. If I donate only what I can spare, then I would rather be scammed of that little money than risk hurting someone who’s already suffering from cancer.
@NoTimesLeft@chinopp12 It sounds to me like you haven’t had anyone chronically ill in your life, so I’m glad. But those who have know that money dries up very fast, and treatments you hoped might cure things don’t always work and can become unexpectedly expensive. It’s also painful and demoralizing.
@chinopp12@whoisnaki_ I don’t know specifically but likely… medical bills, lost wages, transportation, food… cancer is one of the most financially exhausting conditions a person can deal with. Especially for people without strong medical insurance
@nerissa_en I feel you. I grew up in a small town of 7000 people in the Appalachians. I live in a big city now and work a busy tech job but I miss home all the time. Its hard to convey treasuring the small things, the beauty of fireflies in my grandparents forest… running in creeks
@kotakot07088271 I’m sorry to hear most people didn’t attend... でも、1人だったのは素晴らしいと思います!I have been studying Japanese for 1.5 years with the hope to tell people about my love for Jesus.
Mayu姉妹、お大事にしてください!It’s such a heavy burden, so please tend to your health!
