Prof Rob Merges of @ucberkeleylaw has written a major new business and economic history of the US #patent system, from the founding era up to current times. This masterful work is replete with case studies, tables, and illustrations. Highly recommended!
I came back to #lawtwitter for patent law convos…and happily discovered…pen pics.
My daily ink: Muji 0.7 gels; blue, black, and red
And there’s always a blue Zebra G 301 in my backpack
I’m no #penfluencer like @strowhiro, but the firm keeps these in the supply room now. ;-)
@denniskennedy@JetPens Ooooh, I don't know @JetPens! Will definitely check it out.
The Kuru Toga legit solved a problem I've always had with mechanical pencils...and the mechanism that does it is just....cool.
well, the Rothschild Patent [sic] (published application) is at least evidence that continuations-in-part provide an easy way to blur priority dates....
So Covid 19 testing patent was already filed in 2015 by ROTHSCHILD? The very same Rothschild family affiliated
to Bill Gates, Black Rock etc. Big Pharma.we have been used as guinea pigs for 3 yrs. Covid was deliberately introduced to us.May they burn in hell
Mosaic Brands v. Ridge Wallet matches the “easy button patent claim construction review” pattern for me. De novo review by the Federal Circuit, as required? Or did the panel hit the easy button and adopt the district court’s construction? We’ll never know.
I'm slowly rebuilding my online patent life. Twitter is a bit of a baby step of sorts. I've been gone (or at least inactive) for a loooong time.
I've forgotten how it works, really.
But I sure do remember the "is this thing on?" feeling.
"There’s scant evidence to support Big Tech’s claims that the United States faces a growing epidemic of faulty patents. The rate of patent challenges has remained steady for a century: just 0.2% of patents approved by the USPTO are ultimately disputed." https://t.co/dOUqZSonhz
We discussed the recent CAFC decision in Mosaic Brands v Ridge Wallet at our @mstiplaw caselaw lunch today
Last night, prepping for today, I remembered that I bought one of the original Ridge Wallets…I think on Kickstarter.
Then I forgot to share it during lunch! 🤦🏻♂️
#patents
@IgorParomtchik@Samsung@ipwatch@uspto Sounds like a question of anticipation, not plagiarism.
...and, for the U.S. patent, whether the duty to disclose was satisfied.
"While America weakens IP rights, global rivals strengthen them - The Downey Patriot: In a nutshell, U.S. #patent protections have greatly weakened in the new ... the Supreme Court's decisions in Mayo, Myriad, Bilski and #Alice. " https://t.co/iT3RxWXNyw
