@MajaliseTolan In my building this is essential. Our school has a high percentage of Nat. Amer. students. All decisions must be looked at through that cultural lens. We also must always look at community impact. The community will passionately go in either direction, so we must stay connected.

@MajaliseTolan Every decision has unintended effects. Using empathy to anticipate who might lose something is good leadership. Often, using this lens will convince you that the decision is not a good one to make(too much loss).

@MajaliseTolan I have now added the lense of “policy follower”. When planning I try to use a “this is the minor leagues” lens, with the high school being the major leagues. I want students ready to be successful at the next level.
