@mmcnma@BAVCPreserve Lol nothing like a classic telecine rip on video and being unable to locate an original print. Glad the existing materials are going to be in good hands!

I haven’t posted or scrolled through this site because I Logged Off and got into fishing. You can talk to me about film archiving, preservation, and curatorial work IRL or via email. Fishing inquiries always welcome

One of the most underrated places in the Bay: @NilesFilmMuseum. Complete with a metal-lined booth to once make it “fire proof.” David Kiehn told me he shot new English intertitles for prints bought from the Eye Filmmuseum on Rock Ross’ animation stand just for their screenings
Now live on the @walkerartcenter Reader for *free* until 9/26: The Relational Sea, featuring works by Allan Sekula, Nazlı Dinçel, Mónica de Miranda, Harun Farocki, and Noël Burch. Presented as an accompaniment to the Walker’s exhibition of Fish Story: https://t.co/DuQ5tGNUf0
And the restoration of Christopher Harris' still/here (2000), a must-see meditative film on the landscapes and histories of St. Louis, with Harris in conversation with artist Kahlil Robert Irving. And the new 16mm print hopefully making its way on time: https://t.co/Ytn8qjjq11
