For the past 9 months CPE has been organizing a multi-state coordinating body to accelerate geothermal deployment across the west, partnering with governor's energy offices in CO, UT, AZ and NM.
Excited to go public with that effort. Let's get drills in the ground in every state.
Finally made it home and can update folks: I passed!!
A huge thank you to Paul and my @PubEnterprise colleagues for showing up in force. It means the world to me.
Take a look at the historical multifamily production chart. The first half of the period, there's a lot of green. The second half of the period, a lot of red.
Zoom in on the green mountains and you'll find federal policies carefully designed to make the line go up.
The time has come to raise the housing investment level in this country, just as we did in the 1960s and 1980s.
We have a new report out this morning laying out just how high housing production numbers need to go—and for how many years—to dig us out of the shortage.
There's a bevy of reports on geothermal coming out these days, and this new piece from @PubEnterprise is easily the prettiest. Also has some of the best data for how EGS is the best option for supplying clean firm in the West. https://t.co/cDJSLWQx7r
Geothermal energy is ready for prime time. The next step to bring it onto the grid is for utilities and PUCs in the west procure it in their integrated resource plans.
New report from CPE on what utilities thinking about geothermal need to know to bring new firm power online.
We're hiring!
We're looking for someone excited about innovation in the public sector to join the CPE housing team, and work with us on helping housing agencies deploy tools to increase their housing production. Think that's you?

Statement on NYPA Strategic Plan for public renewables:
"Those who are committed to success will be focused on interconnection challenges, the lack of transmission and distribution infrastructure, and financing constraints that limit the agency today."

Housing finance agencies have a tremendous number of projects in the queue, but pretty limited resources to build them all.
What are some doing? Pulling projects that would otherwise wait in that long line, and moving them to the mixed-income fast lane—with no federal subsidy.
Very excited to welcome @jmooreotto to the CPE team today as our Transportation Program Manager, focusing on transit, value capture, state capacity, and other state transportation initiatives.

This report places data center lease terms in the same narrative as GPU depreciation concerns to provide the most holistic analysis possible of what happens when the revenue never materializes:
