Recently I was invited to speak with students at @PublicRandwick about stormwater and what happens to it in the northern @RandwickCouncil area. Students took the information I shared with them to produce these fantastic stop-motion videos. This one is by Clem, Ashling & Annabel:
"Thanks to this program I've been either eating all my food in my lunch box or saving it for OOSH"
Thanks Gaia ๐for interviewing your classmates about FEAST for the @PublicRandwick newsletter! The world needs more food waste fighters like you!๐ #OzHarvestFEAST#foodeducation
For #scienceweek this week, 6AT have been discovering the deepest part of the ocean, The Mariana Trench. This works alongside our geography unit where we are learning about the continent of Asia. Have a look at their incredible giant vertical diagram of the Mariana Trench!

Stage 3 have been learning about energy and circuits. Over the past few weeks they have used their knowledge to use Makey Makey to create a gaming console which controls a game they coded on Scratch. Stage 2 students have enjoyed playing the games. #STEM#STEAM#MakeyMakey
Our RPS #learninghub is up and running for all those learning from home. Our weekly timetables and other resources are readily available for you to access: https://t.co/8SGPXY4AJv #learnfromhome#remotelearning
Hannah: You order a pizza and ask for it to be cut into 24ths so everyone can have 4 small pieces of it. Tom eats ยผ of it, Dave eats โ , Mathew eats โ because he isnโt very hungry and you eat 2/8. How many slices of pizza are there left over?โ #RPSAsks ๐
Stage 3 students have been given the opportunity to send in some tricky problem-solving maths questions - with the incentive that the best questions will be posted to the RPS Twitter account! Some of the well thought-out questions will be posted in this thread under #RPSAsks.
Ollie: John ate all but 9/21 of the cookies from a packet his mum had left out. When his mum got home she was furious. She needed to have 30 cookies for the special surprise. As a fraction, how many more cookies does Johnโs mum need to buy? #RPSAsks ๐ช
