As I said, synths may well be needed - but deliberately misunderstanding a situation -> poor conclusions.

The fert ban was ill-advised and too much of a shock - but it's not the evidence that synthetics are needed that people claim it is.

A large part of the social disruption was from that.

However, there was a lot of work underway by the DoA in SL to transition to permaculture type agriculture (using modern tech - the article stawmans there btw, pretending like proponents of organics are anti-tech).
