⠀
( leaning back in his chair, his eyes studying the other male with a raised brow. he was intrigued by the drastic difference in personality between him and zayn. )
nothing. just familiarizing myself with you. i’m trace, your new student body president.
⠀
⠀
( taking a quick glance around the office before he eyes landed on the other that sat across from him, brow starting to slightly raise now. )
that’s me, sup?
⠀
( closing the door to his office and sitting down across from @gildedplap with a small grin, hands folded on the surface of his desk. )
zayn mcbride, ex-boyfriend of krew pembroke. we finally meet.
⠀
⠀
⠀
definitely. you’re smart, personable, hospitable and you’re very easy on the eyes. i think you’d be a fantastic leader.
( he reached a hand up to loosen his tie, pulling it from around his neck and seductively dropping it to the floor. )
there’s just one little thing —
⠀
⠀
⠀
also, i think you should join my gay-straight alliance club. you’d be a great asset to us. you have all the makings of a leader.
( he leaned forward and folded his hands over the folder, grinning at the younger. )
⠀
⠀
⠀
good boy.
( he offered a pen toward the other with a playful grin. )
mark every class you want and i’ll put in a word with the teachers for those classes.
⠀
⠀
⠀
i didn’t mean . . . never mind.
( he bit down on his bottom lip and ran a hand through his hair, rocking back and forth in his chair. )
it’s overrated. just be you.
⠀
⠀
⠀
not bad . . . just not cool.
( he said with a small squint, his eyes narrowing slightly. )
not stupid but yes. we prioritize different things. you’re a little green but you’ll understand it once you start.
⠀
⠀
⠀
well, being smart is a good thing but you don’t want to make it your personality in high school. guys can be quite cruel once you’re labeled as a dork or a geek.
( he sat back in his chair, eyes wandering over the boy with a curious brow. )
you’re too cute to have to —
⠀
⠀
yeah, they think that since i’m like, smart and everything, that i should take smart classes.
( he was still an eighth grader, about to enter freshman year, so he didn’t really know better. he was just excited to learn more. he looked over the list with a smile. )
⠀
harder classes . . . ? like ap classes? um, i can get you enrolled in some of them if you’re serious about taking them. i wouldn’t want to disappoint your parents.
( he replied with a grin, reaching down into his desk and pulling out a class list, turning the paper —
⠀
⠀
yeah, i really love school. my parents wanted me to take some harder classes, am i supposed to talk to you about that?
( he asked, tilting his head a little bit. he leaned forward, trying to sneak a glimpse at the folder that had his name on it. )
⠀
thanks.
( he moved to take a seat in his chair behind his desk, his hands reaching for the folder marked with the boy’s name before letting his eyes land on the younger one once again. )
well, your grades are amazing. your teacher sing your praises as well.
⠀
⠀
yeah, it’s really cool!
( he smiled and sat down in a chair, making sure that his posture was as proper as possible. he looked around the office as his leg eagerly bounced. )
⠀
( trace offered a chuckle and nodded in acknowledgment, quickly closing the door behind him and twisting the lock, body slowly turning to face the other once again. )
aww, thank you. not exactly what i was going for but you can’t go wrong for the mentor of spider-man.
⠀
⠀
⠀
( door slowly opening to reveal trace daunting a very business-like suit while a hand moves to adjust his tie, eyes locking onto the young boy. )
hey, glad you could find the room. come on in, make yourself at home.
