Condolences to his family, in particular his son “little Dave.” Great memories of one of golf’s most gifted minds. Two short stories: Dave’s son and mine played high school basketball together. We drove all over West Texas watching games. Once when the team lost, the coach blamed Dave and me. Said we fed the kids quiche. Boys can’t play eating quiche! My most vivid memory …….I was on putting green at Fairway Oaks one day. Dave came up and asked me to try a new putter he made. Awkward looking thing. Had two plastic golf balls lined up and blade. I made about six straight putts. Dave said “I think this thing might sell.” RIP.
@MikeMcGeeAnnika@ANNIKA59@avamcgee2009 Keep the posts coming, please. I get this great positive feeling about families and the world in general when I see you guys being ambassadors for what’s right about the USA. Thank you.
@MikeMcGeeAnnika@ANNIKA59 There are only about 19.2 million male and 6 million female golfers who would volunteer to fill in for you Mike. Text me and I’ll give you my phone number. I’m pretty sure I can be there by tee time. 😉 Just saying….
@GolfCentral Ale is on a mission to become the best professional golfer ever from Argentina. The fire in his belly has gotten him to where he is today. He will learn from this situation and become even better.
Maybe we need IQ test for people who want to follow pro golfers on course. Only a simpleton would yell “Go in the hole” as a player hits errant shot which misses the green.
Little tolerance in Master’s programming for repetition of ridiculous commercials such as AT&T “connectivity.” Many are insult to intelligence. I use MUTE button repetitively.
Watching Valero Texas Open. Announcer says Pierceson Coody made his mark beating grandson of Arnold Palmer. No disrespect but more knowledgeable announcer might mention Coody is grandson of Masters Champion Charles Coody.
I’m an old (75) traditionalist. But got to tell you, never had so much fun watching/listening to ESPN doing PGA22, including M Collins and Joe Buck. New way to cover golf. Fun, relaxed, entertaining….dialogue like a bunch of my friends consuming beers and talking trash. Great!
@Amanda_Balionis@WMPhoenixOpen I’m a fan of yours; you give game fresh air. But I think throwing beer & cans on green and players tragic mistake. Golf is a competitive game based of civility, protocol, and sportsmanship. These things differentiate it from many other sports. What’s next? Players doing flips?
