Currently, data from all #NHL seasons from 2019 to present is on the site, with more historical data being added. Additional updates and features are being added daily, so keep an eye out!

Kylington signs with #GoAvsGo on a 1 year deal. He joins the Avs after a down year in 23-24 after sitting out the 22-23 season. In 21-22, Kylington he was in the 66th percentile for scoring at 1.20 PTS/60, while having above 50% on-ice shares for xG, Corsi and Goals.

With the #Flames in 21-22, Kylington was paired with Chris Tanev for 88% of his 5v5 TOI (1054:50), and earned a 56.4 xGF% and 60.6 GF%. Hopefully he returns to his 21-22 self in Colorado this season.

Come puck drop in October the @BuffaloSabres https://t.co/vlY5rTXjMi are looking to make the playoffs for the first time since the 10-11 season.

Going into 24-25, BUF is loaded up with prospects many of who have already logged heavy NHL minutes with the club. Cozens, Dahlin, Power, Samuelsson are all locked up long term. Currently with the @AmerksHockey, Levi has the potential to be the Sabres goalie of the future.

Thompson, who was in the 91st percentile for 5v5 scoring in 22-23, came back to earth last season, however has shown he has the potential to be a star. McLeod, brings recent playoff experience coming over from EDM.

The potential piece BUF is missing are true "veterans", however those players can be acquired at the deadline. Is this the year #LetsGoBuffalo returns to the #StanleyCup playoffs?

Below is a new viz I have been working on. It allows one to see the types of minutes a player played last year.

In the case of Matthews #LeafsForever, he plays a majority of his minutes with the Leafs top 3 FWDS and top 2 DEF, while playing against the opponents top lines as well.

The TOI listed under the "F#" or "D#" titles shows the total TOI Matthews + his teammates/opponent were on the ice together. The inner boxes show Matthews + teammate + opponent; for example, Matthews + D1 + Opp F1 = 246:57.

The F1...D1 designation is determined on a game-by-game level and summed up for the entire season.

Faber (https://t.co/ymeDkRRK7W) signs an extension with Minny in an 8x8.5 deal. This locks him up one year before he was due to become an RFA.

The soon to be 22 year old, played all 82 games and was deployed in all situations last season for the #MNWild as a rookie. Compared to all defenseman, Faber was in the 57th percentile for 5v5 PTS (1.05/60).

Faber was paired with Middleton for 795:29 and Brodin for 561:24 earning a 47.3% and 51.7% xGF% at 5v5.

More 2024-2025 @NHL schedule analysis incoming...first up: Which teams have the most 3 in 4s - playing 3 games in 4 days?

* Winnipeg #LetsGoJets have 6 which is the lowest in the NHL.
* Toronto #LeafsForever, Seattle #SeaKraken & New York #NYR are tied for the most with 12.

@PostThis99 @NHLFlyers 100% SHGs can be a big momentum changer. Laughts + TK were the top FWD PK pair for on-ice goals for last season. Their #LetsGoFlyers teammates Hathaway + Poehling were T5 for on-ice GF with 4.

Nashville made a splash earlier this month with their acquisitions of Stammer, Marchessault, Skeji. Looking at the #Preds age distribution chart (roster via @NHL.com), their window to win starts now.

Their forward core is either approaching aging out or veteran status and starting goalie Saros is in the prime of his career. The Predators blue line is more evenly spread out, however Josi + Schenner are approaching the back end of their careers potentially.

Note: This does not include players in Milwaukee (AHL) or other unsigned drafted players.

LA #GoKingsGo locks up their 2020 2nd overall pick to a 5 year extension. This past season, Byfield had 2.13 PTS/60 at 5v5, good for the 60th percentile.

This looks to be a great deal for both sides as Byfield has the potential to grow into a top player which will make the 6.25 M cap hit look very team friendly if his production matches his draft pedigree.

For Byfield, the bridge deal allows him to work up to the 'max' AAV deal, which he can sign the 8 year deal when he becomes a UFA. This deal also works around the Kings available cap space at this time.
