@MCG hello we were wondering what the flags are above the Southern stand scoreboard. We can identify the Australian, aboriginal and Torres Strait islanders flags, what are the other two?
I was teased my whole life for having large feet, lots of clown comments etc, from an early age when I went through my growth spurt. For reference Iโm nearly 6 foot tall and take a size 11 shoe.
For the first time ever I have gone out in a summer dress and sneakers. Itโs 33C here today and I have a lot of walking to do. And guess what. No one has recoiled in horror, in fact half the people here are dressed in a similar manner.
People can be so cruel. Iโm grateful for all the beautiful people on Twitter who allow me a safe space to tell you of my tiny but life changing victory. I love you all ๐ฅฐ
โItโs just in funโ, โshe knows weโre just teasingโ, lighten upโ, everything has been said to me by the perpetrators over the years but as an adult I recognise trauma, humiliation and embarrassment and I embrace that poor teenager.
I chose to wear 3โ heels because I was always told I shouldnโt, I wear bright coloured shoes because I was always told to never draw attention to my feet. Today I broke another ceiling.
I have worked hard a lot of my adult life to accept that my shoe size is actually in proportion to my height, and that those who tormented me were both cruel and wrong.
Iโm not on Twitter much these days because, well, life. But I have to share this little victory here because the one who hurt me so badly has died and I donโt want to hurt his grieving family on fb.
