@lippyent I guess the postage stamp was the giveaway but the rest could be a much wider swath of time. Seems like inflation was pretty flat through the 50/60s - and then a huge correction in the early 70s. Sounds familiar.

@lippyent I don't know about the Dow average but the rest of it matches what it was like in the 1960s in mid-Michigan.
