"There'll be Another Time.."
I wrote this line in Halo Reach for the last mission. The death of the player. The parting of Bungie and Halo.
But it also was intended to reassure players that Bungie would return. We were building Destiny and I wanted people to know there was still hope. This wasn't a final goodbye.
Now seeing this posted below in desperate hopes that Destiny will somehow return is.. very sad. Because there won't be another time. The studio I once loved has been dying a slow death for years. It seems it's finally ending. Forever.
in order to become a better person, you must first realize how horrible you really are. not in the dramatic sense, but in the quiet ways you sabotage yourself, repeat unhealthy patterns, hurt people who care about you, or tolerate what wounds you. you cannot grow if you keep pretending you're innocent in the story you created.
Tolerating always turns to resentment. At first, you call it patience, then love. But what it really is, is self-abandonment. Every time you swallow a boundary, excuse a pattern or silence your discomfort, something inside you keeps score. Likes And eventually, the bill comes due.
worst part of the literacy crisis is that you can’t use hyperbole or be dramatic anymore without some dumb fucking idiot thinking that you sincerely believe whatever exaggeration you said
Not told? = Don't ask
Late invites? = Decline
Not invited? = Don't go
Left out of plans? = Move on
Always initiating? = Step back
Feeling used? = Set boundaries
Taken for granted? = Value yourself
Ignored messages? = Stop reaching out
Constantly explaining? = Stop justifying
Feeling unappreciated? = Distance yourself
Don't chase after those who don't value you.
Treat yourself with the respect you deserve.
