At some point, you have to let yourself be witnessed - in the work, in the mistakes, in the becoming. You have to survive being wrong without disappearing. You have to let people ask you the difficult questions and resist the instinct to run when the answers embarrass you.
girl to girl: please don’t let adulthood take away your ability to be excited. scream over the concert tickets. get excited about your new dress. send your girls 40 pictures from the dressing room. be silly. life needs more of that.
Oversharing is bad spiritual hygiene. A mature woman understands the power of privacy. I love unique, unconventional features. I love when people have their own individual look, feel, taste, style, aesthetic, way of doing things. That will always be refreshing and I will always embrace that.
for the first time in my life, i love myself more than anyone else. there's no room for self-abandonment or neglect anymore. the tides change, and so do i.
Nobody talks about the personality shift in your 30s where you no longer want to be impressive, you just want to be rested, regulated, and completely unavailable to anything that drains you
