For the past few months I’ve been building a passion project called Puroresu Project.
It’s an interactive guide to the history of Japanese professional wrestling: legendary matches, wrestlers, rivalries, promotions, styles, games, and culture.
Website launches in 2026.

I know quite a few of you haven’t been happy with the sponsorships I’ve taken over the last year and for that I’m genuinely sorry. The Hall of Pretty Good has always meant a lot to me and I never wanted this page to feel like it was becoming all about money or ads instead of baseball and the community we’ve built together.
I want to be transparent with you all about why I took those deals in the first place. Between moving from New Hampshire to Virginia with my wife, the uncertainty that comes with working in education, and my medical bills from dealing with Ankylosing spondylitis, I was under a lot of financial stress. I work at a small elementary school and in education there’s always the possibility of staff being let go, relocated, or contracts not being renewed. After making a major move to a new state with my wife, that uncertainty weighed on me heavily and I felt like I needed some guaranteed money so we wouldn’t have to constantly worry about paying rent, the electric bill, or just getting by comfortably.
At the same time, I was also dealing with my health. The medication that’s finally helping me costs around $1,200 a month and at the time I had no clue how much insurance would cover. I need to be able to move and function normally not just for my personal life, but so I can continue doing my job every day. Between the stress surrounding work and the uncertainty around my medical expenses, I made the decision to take sponsorship deals that I know a lot of you weren’t comfortable with.
Thankfully things have become a lot more stable recently. I received copay assistance for my medication and I also had my contract renewed at work for next school year. With that renewed sense of security and honestly just a much healthier outlook on life after finally finding treatment that works for me, I’ve decided that 2026 will be the final baseball season the HoPG works with Polymarket and Kalshi.
I can’t immediately stop because I still have agreements that I committed to and I believe it’s important to honor my word and finish those deals out. In the name of full transparency, I currently have 14 Kalshi posts left and one final Polymarket post remaining. After that, I’m done working with them.
At the end of the day, I know I disappointed a lot of you and that genuinely bothers me. This community has helped me a ton over the last few years and I lost sight of what this account was supposed to be for a little while. I wanted to stop caring and just chase the money for a bit, but that’s not what the Hall of Pretty Good was built on.
I want this page to continue being a positive place centered around baseball, nostalgia, childhood heroes, and just having fun talking about the game together. I know it’s impossible to make everyone happy online, but I do want to be someone this community can respect moving forward.
If you stuck around through all of this, thank you. I truly appreciate it more than you know and I’ll do my best to be a commissioner you can all be proud of.

In 2004, Crazy Crusher & Hell Storm, two brothers, battled it out in a Ladder Match at an independent show for EWR. This match has received a 9.35 rating on CageMatch, and is widely regarded by those who’ve watched as one of the most innovative ladder matches.
Enjoy this absolutely madness.
