Thank you to the 500+ faith & community leaders who gathered at St Frances Academy tonight for BUILD’s nonpartisan mayoral candidate accountability action with @MayorBMScott & @SheilaDixonBalt! Together, we can and will lead our city forward.
@DanRodricks asked me if @BUILDBaltimore had ideas about how to spend a billion dollars, should a billionaire Baltimore booster decide to make a direct investment in our agreement with @mayorBMScott and @GBCorg https://t.co/2hYXgZs9bK
We're incredibly close to reaching our goals! Please consider a gift to BUILD as we end the year. Help us start 2024 in a strong way! https://t.co/OOpXvRqTMs
Hi! My talented friend Anna Connors is doing a photo story and is looking for people with tattoos over the age of 70 in Orange County. Please contact me if interested (she doesn’t have a Twitter sadly)
Today we’re releasing an in-depth report, “Whole Blocks, Whole City,” which analyzed every single block in #Baltimore to identify the scale of the problem of vacant & abandoned #housing. #BuildOneBmoreNow
Housing Commissioner Alice Kennedy announces the city is launching a program called Buy Into Bmore, a one-stop shop which she says will sell vacant city-owned homes
Thank you @RepKweisiMfume for your work in Congress to deliver these ARPA funds to Baltimore and for your & @MayorBMScott’s recognition of @BUILDBaltimore & Bishop Douglas Miles in your comments.
Over the last few weeks, BUILD leaders have been in conversation with the mayor & city officials, sharing our history on this work — particularly over the last ten years with @rebuild_metro in neighborhoods in East Baltimore to reduce vacancy, build wealth & prevent displacement.
This is terrible and preventable: @GovLarryHogan how about sending some tests so my constituents can be tested & we can save lives!?
Thx to @archbalt & @BUILDBaltimore & @mayorbcyoung for making this work possible.

@DanHogan95@GovLarryHogan@BUILDBaltimore We would love to see those numbers too along with the test allocations from the state to each jurisdiction. @GovLarryHogan continues to refuse to release the test allocation info and people still wait in line at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church.
Baltimore City is still not receiving enough tests from the state and @GovLarryHogan refuses to publish data about who got tests & how these decisions are made. The data we do have - Black ppl and Latinx lead the numbers of cases and deaths in MD. Show @BUILDBaltimore the #s
Outside Sacred Heart, where 17 parishioners have died due to Covid-19, and 3 are in critical condition at Johns Hopkins, said Father Bruce Lewandowski. 3 in critical condition. @BaltimoreBrew
“The unfortunate reality is people just wait, to avoid expensive medical treatment.”
Sacred Heart of Jesus has partnered with #Baltimore to offer free #COVID19 tests but they say they don’t have enough. Pastors tell us people wait in line for hours and still get turned away. They say 3 of their parishioners died from #coronavirus because they couldn’t get tested.
@GovLarryHogan why won’t you meet with @BUILDBaltimore ? Where are the tests? Show us where tests have been distributed and how those decisions are being made.
.@pulpit from his sermon this morning: "While there are good reasons not to gather in the flesh, there are no restrictions to connecting with people in a deeper way than we ever have before [during this time of crisis]." Amen!
.@pulpit great job with the worship service over Zoom and beautiful sermon today! So nice to be with you and the great Brown Memorial Park Avenue Presbyterian Church Congregation virtually this am.
@AndyDRC Great to see you too all the way from Sacramento! Apologies to people who got denied because we hit our zoom limit. We will fix that for next time. Peace and love.
@Hertz Thanks. An hour later we were given keys to a 9 passenger van for our family if 4. We reserved a station wagon. I notice there are many other dissatisfied customers. This location needs some serious guidance.
@Hertz What is going on at EVE Hertz rental in Norway? Long line of customers and your office has a note on the door that says “we have lots to do.” Customers from a other companies have their cars. This is terrible service.
