Published prospective study from UMCU in the demonstrated that pregnant women successfully performed 240 clinician-guided ultrasound examinations from home, with excellent usability, satisfaction, and successful assessment of fetal parameters.

RCT led by Dr. Liat Mor et al. at Wolfson Medical Center, explored if access to home ultrasound could help provide reassurance during pregnancy. The results were:
Fewer emergency department visits
Significantly lower maternal anxiety scores and increased maternal attachment
