@Trandlesnatch @rohanwontsleep I lived at a place for 5 years, landlady never raised rent. When she sold the place, she requested that the new owner not raise my rent for a year. We stayed in contact for about five years after she moved out of state.

@kirawontmiss Something very similar happened to someone I know. The whole packing everything up, halting career, depleting savings, moving to a state where she had nothing except for him. Left her entire family and lifelong friends. He cheated. She decided to stop living.
