Qatar held Switzerland to a 1 – 1 draw in a tightly contested Group B opener. Switzerland controlled much of the first half and took the lead from a penalty after VAR intervention, looking sharper in attack and more organized in midfield.
Qatar grew into the game after halftime, showing more intensity and confidence going forward. Their pressure eventually paid off with an equaliser that shifted the momentum and energized the match.
In the closing stages, Switzerland pushed for a winner while Qatar stayed compact and disciplined, ultimately sharing the points after a balanced finish.
