I was the patient 6 weeks ago. My right eye has been turning out more over the last 7 years, giving me awful migraines. I had squint surgery aged 2, fast forward 39 years, I had it done again. Pred eye drops are as vile as the tablets FYI! #ThankYouNHS#NotAFanOfBeingAPatient
Been qualified 13 months and still manage to catch germs off the little darlings I care for - even with excessive hand washing and mask wearing. #paediatricnurse#snottyandgrotty
@EmmaPunc Year 3 is a scary time. But all you can do is your best, try and focus on what you’re achieving, not what could happen. This year is tough enough without added pressure to yourself x
@EmmaPunc Oh Emma, don’t worry - you’ll have mandatory study days, e-learning, personal development meetings, revalidation folders and dividers to buy still. I’m 1 year qualified and still buy stationary & believe me, if you thought pens had legs as student, just wait! #paedsnursing
@NQPUNCs Get well soon. I was positive until day 12 and felt poorly until day 11. I felt guilty but literally couldn’t go work even if I wanted too. 1) still positive and 2) felt so poorly. You are protecting yourself and others and need to get well. That’s what I kept saying x
@helengoddard295@student_nurseEm@JemmaSinclair4 @StNurseProject It’s defo not right - I sometimes leave work so hungry as I’ve not had my full unpaid break times and the pressures at the minute mean that you end up so busy afterwards if you manage to take a break later in the day, you then leave late 🤦🏻♀️ catch 22
@helengoddard295@student_nurseEm@JemmaSinclair4 @StNurseProject Might not be the law but you’re there for 12.5 hours (as a student claiming 11.5 hours placement hours and as an employee 11.5 hours paid), therefore I would argue that it isn’t law but you’re entitled to it, as you’re not paid or allowed to claim it.
@DannGoodingRN @MrsLucyGooding @DiverseLearners Dann, when I got my trust ID badge - they made me an American paediatric nurse, and it’s their job to make badges. Thankfully, now I have the correct ID badge. I like the new spelling for Lucy … also I’m a little addicted to name badges … oops
@RMN_CherBear @NQPUNCs It’s a caramel sponge, with biscoff buttercream between 3 layers of cake and a crumb coat of the same, then a vanilla buttercream frosting on the outside, with biscoff buttercream on the top and at the base. The drip is biscoff too :)
Having four kids and being a paediatric nurse (when the team LOVE cake) means that there is always plenty of opportunities to make cakes between shifts. My 2nd born and only daughter is 16 tomorrow - another drip cake #punc18#cake@NQPUNCs
