@HorttorBillie@JRMajewski@Daytobehappy So we shouldn't help our allies against attack? An authoritarian leader has admitted he wants to rebuild the Soviet union. Ya know our enemy Russia? I dont really care if you play pretend with an impeachment. He is a figurehead not a cult leader. Remove him so we can get better.
BREAKING: Wisconsin's Democratic Gov. Tony Ever scores a jaw-dropping victory by increasing funding for public schools in the state every year for the next four hundred years.
Yes. You read that correctly. 400 years. And the way he did it is truly amazing...
Gov. Evers used his partial veto authority to mark up and edit a spending bill that was only supposed to last for two years. This line-item veto power allows the governor to cut out parts of a bill while signing the rest into law.
Brilliantly, he changed the part that applied a $325 funding increase per student for the 2023-24 and 2024-25 years. He focused on the "2024-25" section and deleted the "20" and hyphen so that the end date for the funding became 2425.
The $325 per student annual increase of $325 until 2425 is the highest single-year increase in revenue limits in Wisconsin's history.
All in all, he made 50 line-item vetoes to the budget and said that the version he had been originally handed was "imperfect and incomplete." He used his stunning victory as an opportunity to hit the GOP for not caring about their constituents or education.
"In many ways, Republicans in the Legislature have failed to meet this historic moment, sending my budget back to my desk absent critical investments in key areas that they know — and publicly acknowledge — are essential to the success of our state, all while providing no real justification, substantive debate, or any meaningful alternative," said Evers. "That decision is, to put it simply, an abdication of duty."
This hilariously effective move is one of the biggest Democratic victories on a state level in a very long time.
Republicans are absolutely furious and there is nothing they can do about it. To override it, they'd need 2/3 of the state legislators in both houses and they don't have a veto-proof supermajority. They would need three Democrats to cross the aisle.
The bill is now law.
Please retweet and ❤️ if you think that Democrats need to get creative like this to push their agenda — and consider investing in Tribel, a “woke” new Twitter competitor that is currently doing a round of equity crowdfunding and just blew past $2.4 million raised from 6,200 of its users. If you want to own a small piece of what is quickly becoming the “next big thing” in social media, here is the link to do so, https://t.co/7S6ULL2X5e. You can invest as little as $100 — or as much as you’d like. Here’s the link to download the new Tribel app that Elon Musk is so afraid of: https://t.co/HnJzSKjCwX
With this Court demonstrating time & again its contempt for the people, every option must be on the table:
—Expand the Court.
—Pass a SCOTUS code of ethics.
—Abolish the filibuster.
Our lives & our democracy depend on it.

Florida law currently mandates that 40% of TDT tax must be spent on tourism promotion.
Maybe it’s time to change that and spend it on the needs of Orange residents?

My predecessor talked a lot about increasing manufacturing.
But in reality, construction of manufacturing facilities on U.S. soil only grew by 2% on his watch in 4 years.
On my watch, it’s grown by nearly 100% in 2 years, and we’ll continue this progress.
