Ok I think I am done with Twitter again. These last two days were good for another year. I am retreating back to tumblr which is a truly odd thing to say
Hey! This placed tricked me into getting an STD test there after I thought it was a normal place to do such a thing. It wasn't! The "nurse" lectured to me about the dangers of premarital sex in a locked room for 2 hours and then made me pray with her! It was violating and weird!!
So years ago I told my mom that I edit papers online which I thought was pretty obviously a lie, because it’s not like I’m subtle- but anyway does anyone actually know anything about this please help lmao
Update a board member from Beth ahabah called my mom to ask if I would want them to call me to talk about the youngkin bs and she was like “oh no” and then called me to tell me about it and how she knew I would be very mean to them 💖 Ahahaha
A pal of mine asked for a “you (plural) will outlive them” version of
מיר וועלן זיי איבערלעבן
Mir veln zey iberlebn
And I believe that would be
איר וועט זיי איבערלעבן
Ir vet zey iberlebn
Yiddish speakers who know grammar better than I do pls let me know
I like never ever get on Twitter but still not over that fact that Beth Ahabah thought it was okay to have Glen fucking Youngkin come to the Passover Seder… like. I just don’t know what to do with myself. It’s literally a holiday about freedom from the oppressor.
Judaism is not and never has been apolitical. I’m just so disgusted. Sad to know that my childhood shul is not a safe place for people of *any* marginalized group (including Jews). Sad that they believe a photo op is more important than shul being a safe place.
@xaihowareyou yall were talking in one of the Russian doll episodes about the beauty of paradox and I feel you'll really enjoy this passage from Paule Marshall's Poets in the Kitchen
