@empyrealviolet id go a bit further and say that we are probably never getting a full flashback to Dess's disappearance. It's not conducive to the narrative and also not really how mr fox tells his stories?
@wandydoodles as someone who played undertale before deltarune, i am completely fine with that. esp for casual players... obvi if you want more of the lore it's best to play both. but if maximizing fun, do what you please! Deltarune is my fav anyways!
