We are willingly sacrificing iconic home-ground identity for standardized, flat, batter-friendly highway tracks just to please international broadcasters who want cheap entertainment.😭

Drop-in pitches are essentially an industrialized shortcut that covers up underfunded local ground management. If South Africa cannot prepare authentic, natural decks that reflect our unique regional soils, they shouldn't be hosting. Standardised pitches kill the beautiful, hostile unpredictability of true Proteas conditions. We’re trading legendary cricket culture for cookie-cutter road tracks.
