@gretchenrubin Hi Gretchen! The recent bad weather has me thinking a lot about how to "outside" for 23 safely during extreme weather. I've decided that those days I'll do something outside of my comfort zone for 23 minutes: learn about a new topic, try a new creative method, etc.
@IwriteOK This level of "publicity" that crosses over mainstream is a double edged sword. Sure, he pulled more followers. I'm also sure there are a lot of good people not terminally online who had no idea who this guy was beyond a loved one "likes him". Now they know and awareness matters.
Continuing to throw out medical theories about ASOIAF, look into Neurodermatitis. Grayscale could absolutely be a spread bacterial/viral/fungal/parasitic phenomenon. The itching would absolutely drive one mad eventually or open lesions could act as a doorway for other diseases.
