I've shared my side of the story many times already: why I stopped the royalties, why I walked away, and why I eventually came back. The main reason I returned was simple: I didn't want the original RipplePunks to be locked away in a stale wallet. That's why I announced that I would replace those 10K Punks—nothing more, nothing less.

First, something I want to admit. I stopped the royalty distributions far too abruptly. Looking back, I should have discussed that decision with the community instead of making it overnight. I regret how it happened, even though the reasons are explained on the website. What's done is done, and I can't change the past.

Yes, I initially gave up on the project. Partly because of legal concerns and declining volume, but mostly because I was exhausted. Day after day, there were complaints, demands for more features, questions about why sales were low, while at the same time I was the one building, promoting, and spending almost all of my free time on RipplePunks. I keep repeating that because it's simply the truth.

When the royalties stopped, the conversation quickly became: either hand over the owner's wallet—my personal wallet—or watch the original Punks get moved to a stale wallet. My answer was different: let's build together, promote together, and revive the project together. I wasn't willing to give away my personal account, and I wasn't willing to let the originals disappear.

So yes, I fought back. Last August, I boosted the project and announced that I would replace the Punks that were being locked away. But just like today, the response was slander, blackmail, and personal attacks. The same divas who screamed before the CTO existed were still screaming afterwards, demanding more features, more giveaways, and more from me.

At this point, I've explained enough. I've even offered to let the other side continue under the RipplePunks name if that would finally end this war.

I'm moving on with Punks 12K+1. CTO members are welcome to return, although I doubt they ever will, and that's completely fine.

You don't scare me anymore with words shouted from behind a keyboard. This conflict has gone on long enough.

What I don't understand is why community members believe they have no responsibility for a community project's success. A project survives because bothkeep it alive. When diva holders do nothing but complain, demand more, and cry about every decision, it's hard to keep going. If all they want to do is hold, demand, and criticize, then yes, by all means, start a CTO.
