The crime for which Afzal Guru, who was hanged in the Parliament attack case, was convicted was that he arranged a rented house for one of the terrorists who participated in the attack.

Afzal Guru, who was a government employee, stated that he arranged the rented house based on a request from Devinder Singh—who was then a DSP in Kashmir—introducing them as his friends and asking him to get a house for them. Yet no one took that into consideration.

Years later, on January 11, 2020, Devinder Singh was caught along with two Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists. AK-47 rifles and pistols were seized from them. Devinder was jailed. Do you know how he was released exactly on the ninetieth day? Amit Shah’s Delhi Police delayed filing the chargesheet against him. He got default bail.

After that, when speaking about the security lapse in the Pulwama attack, it was none other than Satya Pal Malik—the RSS man and former Governor of Kashmir—who said that Modi and Ajit Doval themselves silenced him.

Every time a terror attack happens, Modi says that the perpetrators will not be spared and the conspirators will be caught—but nothing actually happens. Those who asked where the shooters in Pahalgam are were branded anti-nationals. From the 90s to 2014, there were conspiratorial moves to seize power, social engineering to inject communalism into the majority community, leaders in mainstream parties working for Hindutva, revolutionary leaders who present Sanghi lies more beautifully than them, Sanghi cells in the media, their own people to carry out and investigate bomb blasts… Thousands of hands worked simultaneously.

After 2014, we are witnessing the spectacle of the country’s administrative system being dismantled one by one and Hindutva-ized. Every citizen knows for whom the Election Commission and courts are working. We also know which way the police and army will turn.

Rahul Gandhi has the advantage of an era where ideas can reach people at lightning speed, and his enemies are using it most effectively too. Rahul Gandhi is constantly telling the people of the country about how they are being cheated, about how their country is being signed away. Look at everyone from Sanjiv Bhatt, who is in jail, to Umar Khalid—the Sanghi regime fears those who have the ability to politically awaken the people, and that’s whom they silence.

Rahul will continue telling us stories of betrayal, and thousands of people will keep repeating them. The constant political awakening will continue until at least 20 percent of the country’s citizens feel that the nation must be reclaimed and are ready to sacrifice anything for it.

In unexpected circumstances, the politics within the people must activate; Rahul Gandhi is planting in them a politics capable of surviving the BJP’s communal politics. Stand with him, repeat what he says, and spread it to more people—that is today’s political work.
