Katara argues otherwise making Aang choose love
@AsmodeusMah6@brandonbosgsf@_OnlyRed_ And Toph doesn’t validate that role. Heck Katara doesn’t like to be seen as just motherly, even she rejects the role.
The whole point of this scene is Toph validating Katara that she is not just motherly and she is fun.
@AsmodeusMah6@brandonbosgsf@_OnlyRed_ No she is not the mother figure. She just acts motherly sometimes because of her trauma and it actually frustrates people in the group at times.
Sokka might see her as such but Toph and Aang refuse to see her and reject it
its been like 2 days but ppl are still finding that dumb tweet calling Katara a woman and reacting to it AGHAST. and its so funny tbh everyones just horrified
Tbh Azula breakdown timing is funny to me
The odds that Azula would breakdown and banish every single person from the palace letting Zuko and Katara to have a simple 1 on 1 while she is not at best is funny to think about.
It is almost as contrived as the lion turtle but had foreshadowing at least.
Zuko isn’t beating Azula 1 on 1. Katara is not beating a comet enhanced Azula on her best
“Sokka isn’t black, he’s Asian!” Right, Asian/indigenous. So let me ask you;
Who do you think were slaves prior to the Trans Atlantic slave trade and who do you think were forced into sexual slavery in Imperial Japan. Try again miss me w that calling him a slave shit
lauren just confirmed that aang’s blue beads are meant to represent katara and that incorporating their colors into each other’s designs was intentional and an example of cross-cultural exchange between the two 🥹
Zuko saying “this ain’t air temple preschool, this is the real world” reminds me of Ozai's speech towards Aang right here.
Given that the episode is meant to set up the finale, it feels very intentional for Zuko to diminish the Air Nomad values of nonviolence.
