Hi Twittersphere, I've returned! I took a LONG break from social media (and non-work related emails, etc) to focus on my new-ish full-time training job, completing my thesis, and mental health. Working with large groups of pups has me full of new questions and ready to explore.

Venting on career decisions: a thread. After my master's, which was an experience that honestly let me down for several reasons (the main one being poor mentorship/not what I expected going in), I felt very burnt out from the academic world. I was left with 1/?
of grueling anxiety and self-doubt? However, the job market is fairly narrow in my field, so there's also no guarantee of anything. All in all, when I apply for/interview for PhD's, I've learned to make very clear what my expectations are and choose accordingly, I don't want 4/
