@ukhomeoffice … audience that are exploited by populists and demagogues. Why do you see the need to debase people claiming asylum, the bulk of whom are here for legitimate reasons? Why the need to demonise, to be incendiary? We need a kinder more nuanced kind of politics. Not this.
